A Sportsman's Paradise
Named for the black walnut trees along the crystal clear waters of Crane Creek, Walnut Bend Lodge is a 1,200-square-foot sportsman’s retreat ideal for fishing, hunting, or just getting away and going back to nature.
Walnut Bend Lodge
Walnut Bend Lodge is located near Crane, a small town in Southwest Missouri. With 2 full bedrooms and bathrooms as well as a loft area with 4 additional beds, Walnut Bend Lodge offers you access to nature with all the comforts of state of the art modern living. Constructed with 100-year-old timbers and wood repurposed from the famous red barn on the farm, Walnut Bend Lodge combines modern living with rustic finishes.
We has a family weekend getaway at Walnut Bend Lodge and loved our time there. Kevin gave us a warm welcome, complete with a tour of the property and a fresh baked apple pie.
Fishing & Hunting
Walnut Bend Lodge provides access to one of the most pristine and seldom-fished sections of Crane Creek. On the farm, we offer 3/4 of a mile of direct, exclusive access to this state state-designated Blue Ribbon Trout Area. Hunting on the farm is strictly limited. The farm has cover and food for deer and turkey, as well as small game and birds. Of the 175-acre farm, over 100 acres are wooded; and we adjoin 160 acres of public access of the Southern section of the Wire Road Conservation Area.
Awesome place! Very nice accommodations in beautifully built lodge. The farm is gorgeous as well with 3/4 mile of creek front property. We caught so many wild McCloud Rainbows! Thanks for having us Kevin and Jeanie! We’ll be back for sure. Your place is a fly fisherman’s paradise!
